"My strategy to win the game is to utilise my social skills to my reward. I am a large-fourth dimension people person. I too want to be as honest as possible in the game. I am a loyal person in real life and I want to stick to that equally much as I can," she said.

"I also don't want to seem too much of a threat from the very beginning where I and then get an firsthand target. I'm also looking to marshal with some people where I feel the vibes are right and legit."

Sound familiar? It should—it's exactly how her game played out. From forming strong bonds with every member of the house to aligning with Level 6, to staying under the radar early on until she surprised everyone by winning competition after competition, Kaycee had a program going in and, unlike nearly, she stuck to information technology.

We defenseless upwards with the BB20 winner the 24-hour interval afterwards her big win.

So start of all, congratulations!

Kaycee Clark: Thank you lot so much!

We know that you're a longtime fan of the game, and then how much does this win mean to you?

Kaycee: Oh, God. It means everything. I still cannot believe I was on the Big Blood brother bear witness. Never did I call back I was going to be picked to proceed Big Brother and to now win Big Blood brother 20?

It'due south mind-blowing! I cannot believe information technology. It has not hit me at all, which is really weird, but it means so much. I admittedly love this show. This is the one show that I consistently watch every year. Information technology'due south mind-blowing, it actually is.

Non only did you win, but when yous walked out of the house y'all saw your parents in the audience. What were you feeling at that moment?

Kaycee: Information technology felt so good to see my parents and just to come across the look on their faces. Them being so proud and excited. I literally felt like I was at a championship game and looking in the stands to see my parents; my mom always screaming, my dad always has his easily up in the air. It was only like winning a title game and seeing my parents and how proud they were. Information technology was so surreal.

So at the showtime of the season, you had some questions you answered for your CBS.com bio, one of which was about your strategy for the game. Do you remember what yours said?

Kaycee: I remember I said that my social game was going to take me very far and that was my main priority. I wanted to stay low in the beginning, not do too much, play behind the scenes. If I remember correctly, that's what I said. Competitions would come as they come and the social game was everything.

We looked back on it before talking with you and information technology's kind of awesome how your plan is exactly what happened and what led you to win. How did you codify that strategy going in?

Kaycee: I knew that the kickoff ii or three weeks, I wanted to build rapport and 18-carat relationships with as many people as I could. In the beginning, I merely kept telling myself, "Less is more, less is more." I didn't want to talk game with a lot of people. I simply spoke game with Level vi.

In the house, people were always like, "Hey, Kaycee doesn't talk game at all." Which, if y'all were on the other side of the firm, was the plan. I didn't want to talk to everyone, I couldn't trust everyone.

It was pretty much merely to become to know people, make them feel good, stay behind the scenes. I didn't want to tell people what to exercise. "Do this, do that, I take you, you, and you, and nosotros're in an alliance." No. It merely naturally came together and I stayed backside the scenes.

I didn't get to play any Vetos until 24-hour interval 46, pretty much halfway through the season, then it was frustrating at the commencement because I wanted to play competitions, simply I didn't want to throw any competitions all the same I as well didn't want to win as well many in the kickoff. That would've put a huge target on my back.

One of the things that really stuck out is how loyal you were in the game, which as y'all know, is very difficult to do in Large Brother. You said you took Tyler to the Final 2 out of loyalty, only how confident were you that the votes would ultimately autumn in your favor?

Kaycee: So before the votes, when information technology was just the Last three, I had a feeling that I was good with the Jury house. I had the least corporeality of blood on my hands. If I were to take JC, I felt like I could've won.

If I were to accept Tyler, I felt like I could've won. Only because he had a lot of blood on his hands. I feel like the Jury business firm hated him more than they did myself. Then the five-four vote, I didn't think it was going to exist that close.

Simply at the end of the day, I won the whole thing, and that's huge.

Were there any jury votes that surprised you?

Kaycee: Aye, I thought I was going to get Haleigh'southward vote, which didn't happen and was totally fine. I knew I was going to go Bayleigh'south. Rockstar is all about girl ability.

Scottie. I know Tyler thought he was going to get Scottie's vote, but I had a better feeling that I was going to become it over Tyler. Sammy was the in-between. I wasn't sure what Sammy was going to do.

As a longtime fan, was this game easier or harder than what yous expected?

Kaycee: Oh my gosh, mode harder than I expected. [Laughs] Information technology is fashion easier to be watching the prove than beingness in that firm. It is a whole other level being in that house. It is really, really intense. High stress every day. It's insane. Heed-blowing.

I never expected in a million years that it would exist the way it was. And no 1 can ever understand how information technology is to be in that firm unless you are literally in there playing the game.

What would you lot say was the nearly difficult office?

Kaycee: Just... a lot. I wasn't able to sleep in there. There's a lot going on in your caput. Just the stress, non knowing what the competitions were that were coming up next. It was a mixture of everything.

I just had to keep reminding myself, "This is your dream. This is what yous wanted to do. This is temporary. Take intendance of business and it will all be over soon."

Is at that place anything from in the business firm, besides your Houseguests, that you're going to miss?

Kaycee: Just the experience of being in the house, playing the Big Brother game. I know at the moment being in the firm was just hard and we were all, "Ugh, get us out of here!" But however just existence in the house with a bunch of people and playing the game.

On the flip side, what are you looking forwards to doing that you haven't done in three months?

Kaycee: Beingness with my friends and family. Being in the exterior world. Going outside whenever I want. [Laughs] Going to the gym, listening to music, the list goes on for sure.

Y'all got to clothing some fantastic punishments this flavor—which one did you adopt?

Kaycee: [Laughs] I like the peanut ane.

What advice practice you accept for future Houseguests?

Kaycee: Social game is everything. But it'south hard to say because I don't think everyone is going to be like me. I'one thousand a huge people person; I honey talking to people and getting to know them. I know not a lot of people are like that.

If I say, "stay true to yourself," well, non a lot of people are loyal or whatever. But just getting to know everyone as much every bit possible. And less is more. Don't talk to everyone about your game moves, you know? That'south definitely what I did.

Exercise yous think you'll keep in touch with your fellow Houseguests?

Kaycee: Yeah, for sure. Without a doubt.

How do you recall this experience changed you every bit a person?

Kaycee: More and more I'thousand non caring what people think virtually me. Being out on national television, because there are a lot of family unit members I oasis't talked to about existence a lesbian—they can run across information technology, run into how I dress and everything—only information technology was never a conversation.

Being out there to the world, information technology but reminds me that I don't care what people think. I really don't. This whole experience has just helped me, even more, be similar, "People are going to recall what they desire to remember."

People will think they know but they have no idea. I know how I played the game, I know how I am as a person, and it doesn't matter what people retrieve. Information technology's helping me a lot to remember, just, "who cares?" [Laughs]

That'southward bully. Last question, because we need to know: What are you going to do with half a meg dollars?

Kaycee: Well, I practise demand some more gel and some deodorant. I ran out in the house, so I'm gonna get that. [Laughs] And that'due south it (just kidding)!

My family unit. Whatever I can exercise to help my family to brand their life easier. To set them upwards for the future. And invest. A lot of positive things, man. A lot of positive things. Whatever I can practise to help people, and travel.
